CUMULUS® ESG REPORT
Working on our first ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) report gave us a fresh perspective. We realized that many of our best practices were instinctive: rooted in our values long before we encountered official sustainability frameworks. In the report, we share our story, our way of working, and for the first time, translate our principles into concrete data.

100% MADE IN POLAND
For us, local production isn’t just a matter of logistics. It’s about building lasting trust and ensuring fair standards every step of the way. Since Cumulus® was founded in 1989, every product has been designed and made in Poland. This hands-on approach gives us full control over quality and working conditions, and we can confidently stand behind our gear with a lifetime warranty. Because we believe truly great gear should never have an expiration date.

POLISH GOOSE DOWN
Down is ultralight, long-lasting, and has up to 97% less environmental impact than polyester. We source our down from two trusted local suppliers in Poland, who operate to the highest standards with respect for animal welfare. When you choose down-insulated gear, you’re choosing warmth that lasts for years. In fact, we regularly service Cumulus® sleeping bags that are over 30 years old and still going strong.

CUMULUS® EMISSIONS
Since 2021, we’ve been measuring, and more importantly, reducing our emissions each year. We switched to a renewable energy provider and eliminated air freight in favor of sea transport. The result? In just two years, we cut our carbon footprint by an impressive 56%. In 2023, 58% of the nylon used in our products was GRS-certified, and we're not stopping there. We're aiming to increase that share by another 10%, moving us even closer to more sustainable design and manufacturing.

“THROWING” MONEY INTO A SWAMP
Wetlands can store up to ten times more carbon per square meter than forests. That’s why protecting them is crucial in the fight against climate change. We support the Wetland Conservation Centre in safeguarding Poland’s peatlands by helping to protect valuable ecosystems like the Rospuda Valley.

RESPONSIBLE OUTDOOR
We believe nature-based tourism can grow in a truly sustainable way. That’s why we support those who show how to do it right. We’ve donated gear to projects like the Błękitny Jastrząb bushcraft group for kids, the Wandalistki Foundation, and Benjamin de Molliens, who promotes the 3xZERO philosophy: zero waste, zero new gear, zero carbon footprint. Benjamin received a sleeping bag and jacket that had been returned through our reclamation process and repaired in our Gdynia workshop, because every item deserves a second life.
