We use 100% PREMIUM POLISH DOWN, valued worldwide for its excellent loft, outstanding warmth-to-weight ratio, and natural durability. Ethically sourced and rigorously tested, our down delivers unrivalled insulation even in the most demanding conditions.

CLIMASHIELD® INSULATION

Climashield® is a synthetic insulation made from continuous fibers. Thanks to its unique manufacturing process, it offers some of the best thermal performance in the world, along with durability and moisture resistance. That’s why our synthetic apparel and sleeping bags achieve such impressive specs.

ZIPPERS YOU CAN TRUST

YKK® is the world’s most recognized zipper manufacturer, renowned for durability that’s hard to match. We use YKK® zippers in almost every product: from apparel and accessories to sleeping bags.

Thanks to an exceptionally fine, complex structure of thousands of tiny down filaments, down creates a dense network where trapped air remains almost still. It’s this “air cushion” that keeps us warm. The less the air moves, the better the insulation. That’s why down is unmatched when low weight and high warmth matter.

WHY IS POLISH DOWN SO SPECIAL?

GOOSE DOWN

The goose down used in Cumulus® products comes from Poland’s two largest producers. Close cooperation and a transparent supply chain give us full control over its origin.

LOCAL SUPPLIERS

Our down suppliers work with local farms, ensuring ethical sourcing that respects the natural life cycle of the geese. The animals have constant access to fresh air, open space and water.

Compared to polyester, down shows 85% to even 97% lower environmental impact and an 18-times lower impact on climate change.

EXCEPTIONAL LONGEVITY

We choose down for our sleeping bags and jackets also because it lasts. Down retains its loft for many years (and sometimes decades: we routinely service sleeping bags that are 30+ years old!).

HYDROPHOBIC DOWN

For over a decade we’ve used hydrophobic down in many Cumulus® products. Thanks to a special treatment, it performs better in damp conditions, holding loft longer and drying faster. Importantly, the hydrophobic down we use is free from harmful fluorocarbons (PFC-free), making it safer for you and the environment.
