We have worked in the spirit of ESG since Cumulus® was founded in 1989. We design, make and repair our gear in Poland. This raises the quality of our products, lets us take better care of our team and helps us minimise our environmental footprint.

Lifetime Warranty

QUALITY FOR A LIFETIME

Every Cumulus® product is covered by our LIFETIME EXPERIENCE warranty with no proof of purchase and no time limit. If something happens during use, our repair service will keep your gear going for as long as possible.

Polish Down

03.

POLISH DOWN

Down is light, long lasting and a responsible choice. Its environmental footprint is up to 97 percent lower than polyester. When you choose down insulated clothing and gear you can use them for decades. The oldest Cumulus® sleeping bag we received for refilling was over 30 years old.

Fabrics

RECYCLED NYLON

In 2023, 58 percent of the nylon used at Cumulus® was GRS certified. We are increasingly using recycled materials. PET bottles and fishing nets become ultralight and durable fabrics ready for outdoor travel.

REDUCING OUR IMPACT

55.56% FEWER EMISSIONS

Since 2021 we have measured our carbon footprint and we reduce it systematically. We switched to electricity from renewable sources. A range of efficiency measures allowed us to cut emissions by 55.56% in two years. Remaining ones have been compensated since 2023 in cooperation with the Dziedzictwo Przyrodnicze Foundation.

THOUGHTFUL DELIVERIES

We import materials mainly by sea. We consciously accept longer transit times because limiting air freight significantly lowers transport emissions. All products are shipped directly from our headquarters in Gdynia. We consolidate parcels and minimise the number of handling points, which reduces the footprint of each package in real terms.

VALUE OVER HYPE

At Cumulus® we focus on lasting value and we do not run traditional sales. Promotions often trigger purchases that do not reflect real needs. We support mindful choices and long product life cycles. Discounts can also imply earlier price inflation. Our prices reflect quality and the real cost of making the product with no tricks and no hidden margins.

Offset Forever FOrest

OFFSET: ETERNAL FOREST

We compensated our 2023 emissions with the Dziedzictwo Przyrodnicze Foundation. The offset took the form of purchasing land in the buffer zone of Biebrza National Park in Poland as part of the Eternal Forest project. It is a valuable nesting habitat for many bird species, a regular feeding ground for elk and an important migration corridor for wildlife.

1% FOR THE PLANET

In 2019 we joined 1% for the Planet and since then we have donated 1 percent of our revenue to organisations protecting the environment.

CUMULUS ESG Wetlands CMOK

WE PROTECT WETLANDS

Peatlands can store up to ten times more carbon per area than forests. Their protection is crucial for climate action. Together with the Centrum Ochrony Mokradeł we invest in Polish wetlands, helping to protect precious areas in the Rospuda Valley.
